The Dragon X2 goggles are a high-quality model of snowboard ski goggles that will impress all levels of riders. These versatile snow goggles are made to excel in various conditions. They come with several unique specifications that differentiate them from other available goggles out there in the market. They’re also in our opinion reasonably priced when it comes to this level of quality and performance — they aren’t the most top-of-the-line pairs out there but for many, the bells and whistles highly priced models may not be worth it. One of our favorites of the X2 is the fact that they come with a built-in lens changing technology called Swiftlock which is a game changer when it comes to swapping out the lenses quickly and easily. Their design makes them supremely comfortable and durable and provides you with an incredibly clear view of your surrounding environment. Let’s take a closer look at some of the specs on this model so that you can make the most informed decision when deciding if this is the right pair for your next adventure.

Overall snow goggle build
The overall design of the Dragon X2 snow goggles is built for durability, comfort, and performance. They are built with an injection-molded, spherical, polycarbonate lens. The spherical design allows for maximum visibility and unobstructed views of your surroundings which is critical for a pair of snow goggles as well know — the more the better, right? These lenses allow you to have pretty clear views when cruising around on skis or a snowboard and you won’t have to worry about missing obstacles in the periphery of your view. They also have something called armored frame ventilation which allows the air to flow in a way that reduces fog and condensation. This unique airflow system will keep your face comfortable and reduce the sweating and water build up that some other models have issues with — it won’t be completely, 100% perfect but we’ll take this extra confidence to know we’ll be covered most of the time when it comes to those pesky moisture moments.
In addition to the lens design, they also have a triple-layer face foam with hypoallergenic micro-fleece lining. This makes them sit comfortably on your face and limits the abrasiveness of the goggles. You can wear these Dragon goggles comfortably for long periods of time without any itching or scratching on your face (we’ve all been there). Although it’ll differ per rider, they fit pretty well and will stay in place on your face which is essential so you can worry about landing that next trick instead of making sure your goggles don’t slip. Combine the face foam with the adjustable silicone-backed strap and these goggles will stay snuggly secured to your helmet and face while you’re enjoying the mountain. On top of it all, the strap is also adjustable so you can tighten or loosen it to get the right seal and pressure that’s right for you and avoid having them slip off or shift while you move.
Additional Dragon X2 features

In addition to the structural design of these goggles the lenses also come with an excellent anti-fog treatment. This anti-fog treatment will keep the lenses from misting over during adverse conditions or changes in temperatures. There’s nothing worse than having to constantly pause during a run to wipe the fog off your lenses so you can see again. These goggles allow you to focus on the terrain and enjoy the experience of skiing or snowboarding. Most snow goggle lenses advertise that they come with some sort of anti-fog technology but the anti-fog treatment of these lenses is superb and truly keeps the lenses clear. Unlike other models that you may have to treat with additional anti-fog products these lenses will last for a long time before any additional treatment is needed.
In addition to the anti-fog technology that comes with the Dragon X2 lenses, these goggles also have what we think is what makes these one of the best — an amazing Swiftlock Lens Changing System that is one of the most advanced and efficient lens changing technologies out there. You can switch the lenses so easily and quickly that it’s possible to change out the lenses mid run if needed. As conditions change and the lighting throughout the course of the day changes, it is sometimes necessary to adjust the lenses so that you can see the terrain around you clearly. When the sun is bright you may want to have a more tinted pair of lenses that reduces the glare from the snow but in low light conditions you may want to swap out the tinted lenses for a pair of clearer lenses that allows more light in for better visibility. Each side of the frame has a locking mechanism that allows you to quickly pop off the lenses and swap them out for a different pair. Simply unlock, pop-off, swap out, and re-lock. It can be completed so quickly you’ll soon carry one or two spare lenses on you while riding and you’ll easily be able to change your lenses for a quick style or performance change. We love it.
The final word of the Dragon X2
When comparing the various goggles for snowboarding and skiing that are available you will come across all sorts of designs and specifications and each model has their own pros and cons. We’d probably say the Smith I/O 7 or Electric EG3 give these a run for the money. It’s important to weigh your options and do your research to ensure that when you decide on a pair of goggles you make the right choice for what’s best for you. The Dragon X2 snow goggles have some incredible pros when you look at the specs and they have been praised by riders of all ages and skill levels as an excellent high-performance model that will last. The price point on these goggles is incredibly fair when compared against similar models with comparable specifications. Feel free to read our snow goggles guide if you wanted a few more options to compare to these before you make your purchase.
With the numerous benefits that these goggles provide, you can guarantee that you’ll enjoy wearing them and although there may be options out there for goggles that offer other benefits for a few more bucks, these goggles can hang with the best of them despite it’s middle price-point. It’s important when getting involved in a sport to be prepared with the right gear that lets you perform at the highest possible level without any obstruction. You don’t want your gear to hold you back from becoming the best rider you can be. Regardless of the obstacles you face on the mountain you can rest assured that you’ll be able to conquer them clearly and comfortably with some awesome vision while wearing the Dragon X2 snow goggles.
